Title: Flush
Author: Carl Hiaasen
Ages: 9-12
Favorite Character: Noah Underwood

Have you ever been in a position where one of your parents has been sent to jail?Well, Noah and Abbey have had their dad sent to prison. He was sent to jail because of Dusty Muleman. Dusty Muleman sent him to jail because Noah’s dad sunk Dusty’s boat, the Coral Queen. In this book Noah and Abbey are determined and need teamwork to get their dad out of jail and to get to the bottom of this mess.

The main character of this book is Noah Underwood. He is a very courageous character. Also, he is always wanting to do the right thing like getting his dad out of jail and catch his dad doing bad things. To acheive this goal Noah works with his sister, Abbey, his friend, Shelly, and a bit with Lice Peeking, too. I like how the author of this book matched the characters names to the way they act, their characteristics, or personality. Noah is like Noah’s Ark and Lice Peeking is not rich and he might have lice. Also, Dusty Muleman is like a mule and no one really likes him.

I recommend this book for people 9 years and older and people who like adventure books.
