Want to read an exciting book? Well, read the novel “Maniac Magee”. It is about a boy named Jeffery Lionel Magee who runs away from his problems. He runs straight into a town that is racially divided : The West (white people) and The East (black people). Jeffery has lots of problems like running into Marsbar who is a town bully. The theme is really about how Maniac always runs away from his problems. When he runs, he does amazing things like hitting a fastball from McNab and he also unties the Cobbler’s knot. That’s how Jeffery gets the nick name “Maniac Magee”. I like that Jeffery keeps running away from his problems and keeps creating more problems for himself but solves other people’s problems along the way. I recommend “Maniac Magee” to all readers who like funny, adventurous and exciting books.
