Review: Baffle That Bully

Title: Baffle That Bully
Author: Chase Anichini
Ages: All

The book, is a book about anti-bullying. It is non-fiction, and anyone who is having bullying troubles at school should really get this book. it explains all about bullying, and ways for you to avoid it. It explains a game called “baffle that bully,” where you can confuse the bully. It also talks about breathing treatments you can do, and ways for you not to freak out when somebody bullies you.

If you aren’t bullied, this would still be a great book in case you ever get bullied.

I personally am very good friends with the authors, and I have to say myself, they did a great job. There are great illustrations, and it’s an over-all great book. So if you have a Kindle and want to be prepared in the case of bullying, go download this book!

Review: Kokeshi Kimonos

Book: Kokeshi Kimonos
Author: Annelore Parot
Ages: All
Best For: Girls

This book is about Kokeshis, collectable wooden dolls who wear kimonos every day. They are from Japan. The culture is very interesting. Each page shows a Kokeshi with a different personality, name, and life. You can play a lot of fun games, lift the flap and more with her. You can do challenges.

I like the book because of the little games all over the pages especially the dress-up game. It has lots of cute things, including some stuff for the dog! On the first page, you try find all the schoolgirls who are hidden by different outfits.

This book has pretty pictures and names. That’s my favorite part of the story. I love Kokeshis!!! They are Kawaii (super cute)!!

Review: Magic Up Your Sleeve

Book: MAGIC UP YOUR SLEEVE: Amazing Illusions, Tricks, and Science Facts You’ll Never Believe
Author: Helaine Becker
Ages: 8+
Best For: Boys and Girls

I think it’s a wonderful magic book. Its great to do on your parents like I did some on mine. The magic trick I love is More Than Meets The Eye. A trick that starts off by two coins and a stick. I look at the stick with the coins being seen on both sides of the stick and I see three. Amazing! I think this would be a great magic book for both boys and girls. It’s a great way to teach beginners.

Review: My Beastly Book of Twisted Tales

Book: My Beastly Book of Twisted Tales
Illustrator: B. Delaporte
Ages: 5+
Best For: Boys and Girls

This is an activity book about fairy tales told in a funny way. You can draw the Big Bad Wolf a tank to knock down the brick house, cut Rapunzel’s hair, or cut the Big Bad Wolf’s belly to free the sheep and fill it with pebbles you color.

I like this book because it’s funny and includes fairy tales. Also, I get to do art. My favorite parts are coloring and cutting. It is fun to make a new thing from paper in the book in my style. I liked making the pigs’ houses the best

Kids that know about fairy tales would enjoy these crafts because they’ll make any kid laugh and they’d like doing it their own way.
