Review: This Totally Bites!

Book: This Totally Bites! (Poison Apple)
Author: Ruth Ames
Ages: 8-12
Best For: Girls
Favorite Character: Emma Rose

This is an exciting story with only a mild scare, but it still leaves you wondering what’s around the corner.

Emma-Rose Paley has always been different from her bubbly, rosy cheeked parents. She’s pale, she has sharp canines, and hates sunny days. When her Great Aunt arrives to visit, a twist of events leave her wondering, could she and her Great Aunt possibly be vampires?

Typically, I don’t like scary stories, but this is an exception. It’s rather mild compared to what I dislike. The book can be slow-moving but it’s fun for boring days when you don’t have anything to do.

Review: Goosebumps, Night of The Living Dummy

Book: Night Of The Living Dummy (Classic Goosebumps)
Author: R.L. Stine
Ages: 8-11
Best For: Boys
Favorite Character: Kris

This book review is on Goosebumps, Night of The Living Dummy. It is about two twins who both have dummies of their own. The dummies names are Mr. Wood and Slappy. One twin, Lindy, reads an anchient paper out loud and brings Slappy to life.

I love this book. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. My favorite character is Kris, the other twin. My favorite part was when they stuffed Slappy in a suitcase, locked it up, dug a pile of dirt, threw the dummy in the hole, and covered him up but he still got out! I think that the books night of the living dummy number 1,2, and 3 are amazing and I look forward to doing more reviews on them.
