Review: Sisters Eight Book 1 – Annie’s Adventures
Book: Sisters Eight Book 1: Annie’s Adventures
Author: Lauren Baratz-Logsted
Ages: 6-10
Best For: Girls and Boys
Favorite Character: Georgia

This book is about eight octuplets named Annie, Durinda, Georgia, Jackie, Marcia, Petal, Rebecca, and Zinnia. Annie is the oldest, and Zinnia is the youngest. They are each exactly one minute apart from the next. On New Years Eve they were celebrating Christmas, 2007 and their mommy did not come back from the kitchen, and their daddy did not come back from the shed with firewood. I can’t even imagine how scary that would be for me, and I am nine!
One day, a few days after their parents went missing, Annie found a note under the old loose floorboard in the drawing room explaining that each twin had a power and a gift and they were each to find out themselves. Of course, as the oldest ( by one minute ) Annie decided to take charge. But with everything going on, it was very, very hard to.
I would recommend this book to anyone who really knows how to crawl themselves into a good book like this one. I liked the book because it always kept me thinking, “what’s going to happen next? what’s going to happen next?”
I also love how Lauren Baratz-Logsted, Greg Logsted, and Jackie Logsted all teamed up to write this book. I was kind of confused at first how they kept writing first-person but then said all the names of the twins. It made me think there was somebody else in the room, examining them. But at the very last page I figured it all out! I hope to review book two, Durinda’s Dangers!
